I decided one night after reading a few blog entries that I was ready to take the risk. I was eager to begin a blog! The most challenging aspect for me was whether or not I could commit. Here are a few ideas we’ve found helpful when brainstorming
- When you need a rest, relax in a peaceful environment.
- Set a timer for between 15 and 20 minutes..
- Spend some time thinking of topics to write about.
- Keep on writing as long as you can.
- Select three different colored markers/pens/crayons/paints/stickers (pick your own) and label your ideas as excellent, average, or awful when the time runs out.
Researching what’s already out there:
1) What other blogs are doing with their content?
2) What kind of content is missing from your niche?
3) Instead of writing long posts consider starting small.

There are millions of other bloggers who have felt the same anxiety, doubt, and insecurity before publishing their first article. Take a moment to consider how uncommon your situation is.
