Speed Up Your Blogging Process: 10 Tips to Write a Blog Post Super Fast

Are you someone who struggles to write blog posts quickly? Do you find yourself spending hours upon hours trying to write a single post, only to have it not be up to your standards? In this blog post, we will discuss 11 tips that will help you write a blog post super fast! By following these tips, you'll be able to produce high-quality content in a fraction of the time. Let's get started!

When I first started blogging it would take me up to a week to finally hit that publish button. I’m the slowest writer and I easily get distracted by everything and anything… cat…Facebook… ping on my phone… oh, let me check the news and make a coffee.

How to Write a Blog Post Faster

Let’s get into the tips to write a blog post faster before I get side tracked again.

Tip 1: Remove All Distractions

This is number one for a reason. It’s so important that you write in a space where you can focus and eliminate all distractions. For me, this means shutting off my phone, closing all tabs on my computer except for the document I’m working on, and getting rid of anything else that might take my attention away from writing.

Tip 2: Set a Timer

If you’re anything like me, you work best when you’re under pressure. This is where setting a timer comes in handy. Decide how long you want to write for and set a timer for that amount of time. I suggest 15-20 minutes. Once the timer goes off, take a break! This will help to keep your mind focused.

Force yourself to focus for a mere 20 minutes. You will be amazed at what you get finished.

Tip 3: Write Short Paragraphs

When you’re writing, don’t worry about making everything perfect. Just write what comes to mind and worry about editing it later. This will help to get the ideas flowing and make the writing process go much faster.

Short paragraphs are easier to write and also easier for your reader to digest. So keep them short and sweet.

Tip 4: Add Skimmable Content

Make your blog post skimmable by adding headings and subheadings. This will help to break up the text and make it easier for your reader to find the information they’re looking for.

Use simple words and action verbs to get your point across quickly. Keep sentences short too!

Skimmable Content makes Blog Post Writing Faster

These types of content can include any of the following:

  • Bullet Points
  • Checklists
  • Lists of Tips
  • Images
  • Infographics
  • FAQ sections
  • Interesting Facts

Tip 5: Target a Keyword

When you write a blog post, you want to make sure that it is optimized for SEO. This means including a keyword or phrase that people are likely to search for when looking for information on your topic.

Do some research to find a keyword that is relevant to your topic and make sure to include it throughout the blog post.

Use tools like Keywords Everywhere to Ahrefs to find amazing keywords. In the Blog by Number course it covers in depth how to find high volume, low competition keywords that will bring in lots of visitors.

Tip 6: Outline Your Blog Post

If you want to write more quickly, you'll need an outline. What is the significance of this?

  • It will help you stay focused
  • An outline helps you write faster
  • It gives you structure and flow to your content
  • It makes it easier for your reader to consume the post

Your blog post will include the H2 headings that you'll see on your H2 heading. You might also utilize this simple blog post layout to save time.

Tip 7: Use Artificial Intelligence to Write 100x Faster

Now that you've established a plan for your blog post, it's time to start writing. You may either write the material yourself under each category or have AI assist you in doing so.

Jasper is an artificial intelligence software that helps you create great content faster. It can write blog posts, sales pages, social media content, email copy, Facebook ads, etc. It’s an insanely powerful tool.

Tip 8: Fill In the Sections of Your Blog Post

You'll write short paragraphs after you've established your headings. You may either employ the aid of an artificial intelligence to help you write more quickly or do it yourself.

After a few lines under each topic, move on to the next. If you run out of inspiration, keep going to the following heading. You may always return at a later date and expand on a subject. The concepts will come to you in rapid succession as you get into a flow state.

The secret is to avoid getting caught up in one area. If you find yourself pausing, go on to the next heading.

Tip 9: Write Like You Speak

When you write, use the same language that you would use if you were speaking to someone. This will help to make the writing process go much faster.

Don’t worry about making everything perfect. Just write what comes to mind and worry about editing it later. This will help to get the ideas flowing and make the writing process go quicker.

Tip 10: Finish Up Your Blog Post

Now that you've completed the first draft of your blog article, it's time to add the finishing touches.

That’s it! It’s now 3.05PM and I’ve written over 1,000+ words. Not super faster, but pretty darn quick for doing it all solo. The post is 90% done and I’m good with that.

When I'm almost done with a post, I hit publish. When it comes to blogging, there is no such thing as perfection; each article is an asset in your business that may be improved and updated.
